DeWitt, MI(02/15/2025):  We have added a few new videos on our Records/Stuff page. Including Jon Cowan from the years '87, '88 and '89. He is #1 in the videos. Caution, mature content. The uniforms back then looked like Michigan Wolverines.

As well as from the 2024 team of Charlie Winsor, Elliott Larner running and passing and Abram Larner everything.

Check out all of the videos we have on the Records/Stuff page. Opening kickoff for 2025 season is a mere...

DeWitt, MI (05/01/2025): After a "good" Michigan winter spring is in the air and soon will be into summer and the 7 on 7 tournaments and camps, lifting, speed training and getting ready for the 2025 season opener which is a few short months away.

Last season the Panthers put up historic numbers with the total offense being the top by any other school in history of MHSAA. And scoring are in the tops as well. The 2025 schedule is similar to the 2024 season, however rahter than starting with three consecutive away games, the first three games are home at Memorial Stadium for 2025. Five of the games are home and rather than an outstate opponent traveling to DeWitt (remember that Hurricane game?), the Panthers are on the road week four into Ohio.

Week 1 - Thursday 8/28: Haslett. The Panthers will host the dangerous Vikings of the CAAC Red and will have one more season to deal with an Amachree in the back field. After several seasons of Nakai Amachree (Bowling Green), brother Kory Amachree will be back for his senior season. Last year he had 204 yards rushing and three TDs against the Panthers in a wild 69-42 loss to the Panthers.

Week 2 - Friday 9/5: Mason. Mason will be without outstanding QB Carson Carswell this season. Last year, the Panthers defeated Mason 55-21 in Week 2 but the Bulldogs got better as the season went on and made it to the semi-finals where they were defeated by King.

Week 3 - Friday 8/12: Lansing Waverly. Waverly is always a dangerous team that can play anyone tough on any given night. Last season the Warriors put up 230 yards against the Panthers, but had trouble finishing drives as the Panthers won handily 62-6.

Week 4 - Friday 8/19: at Galloway Westland Ohio. Due to an odd number of teams in the CAAC Blue, there is always a rotating week during the season for teams to fill. Since most teams are into their leagues by week four, AD Mike Byra has had to resort to looking out of state for games. Last season it was Hurricane High from West Virginia. This season the Panthers travel to Galloway Ohio to face the Cougars from Westland. They are members of the Ohio High School Athletic Association and in the Central Division of the Ohio Capital Conference. Much more information coming on this game.

Week 5 - Friday 8/26: East Lansing. A traditional butt pincher of a game as the two teams seem to be so equally matched every year. The Trojans are loaded again in 2025 and the last few years this game has determined the CAAC Blue Champ. Last season, DeWitt burst out to a 21-6 lead in the first quarter and held on for a 42-35 win. You will see long grinding drives and big plays in this slugfest.

Week 6 - Friday 10/3: at Holt. The Panthers handled the Rams last year 64-0 as the Panther defense played well against a traditional powerful ground game from the Rams. Expect the Rams to be much improved this season.

Week 7 - Friday 10/10: Grand Ledge. This will be the last home game of the regular season. The two teams have played some exciting games since DeWitt joined the CAAC Blue in 2018 with each team winning big and several close games. Should be another exciting game this year. Last season the Panthers won 42-0.

Week 8 - Friday 10/17: at Okemos. The most improved team over the past few years in the Lansing area are the Okemos Wolves. They should be better this season as they get their football program on the right track.

Week 9 - Friday 10/24: at Lansing Everett. Last season the Vikings started fast by winning five of their first six games then faltered at the end losing three of last four. Look for them to be in the playoffs again.
